Silk Press (Video) Tutorial

This client came in for the works. She purchased color and a silk press. First we lifted the hair. She sat under the dryer for about 30 minutes. Next we put the purple and burgundy color on her hair. ***The client had relaxer on her ends so we covered her ends and mid shaft with conditioner to protect her hair from breaking.**** Next we rinsed out the color and neutralized the hair twice. We used Nairobi neutralizer and we used stabilizer to help the semi permanent color from rinsing out. The silk Press Process. We used Nairobi Foam wrap to blow dry her hair. This Foam wrap has a natural heat protectant in it. We parted hair in 4 sections
and started in the Right Back quadrant of the hair. We Repeated this process 3 more times. We used a heat protectant serum as well. The stylist than trimmed the hair as she went through the head at a 0 degree angle to keep hair from being uneven. This is also a major time saver. The stylist flat ironed the hair in small sections and curled it and secured it with a clip to achieve pin curls. ****The stylist sprayed the comb with Nairobi Shear Shine heat protectant to avoid the hair to become heavy. Spray the comb with The Heat protectant than immediately comb the hair to coat the hair>**** Finished look Take pins out and style as desired.
